Jarek was satiated and yet still hungry in a way he had never been before. Sex with Luca had been off the charts. His orgasm had been top tier. Now all Jarek could think about was doing it again. Luca was so open and genuine in everything he did. Jarek should have known sex would be the same. Luca flitted around like Jarek hadn’t been ridiculously rough with him. He had red marks that would definitely turn to bruises, hickeys, and bite marks. Yet Luca ate cookies, popped together blocks, and smiled a lot. Jarek had never been more certain. He had met the one.

Several times over the past few weeks, he had wondered what kept him going to that park each night, watching Luca. There had been a pull in his chest—like an invisible fishing line dragging him in Luca’s direction. Now Jarek understood. He had witnessed fate at work. It was beautiful. Jarek needed to make it flourish.

“Do you remember the guy I introduced you to today?”

Luca looked up from the instructions to their new set. His eyes swam with laughter. “Yes. It was only a few hours ago.”

Jarek chuckled. “I know. Sometimes, I’m bad with names. I didn’t know if you were the same.”

“Boone? Right?”

Jarek dipped his chin. “Got it in one. Anyhow, he gave me a card for a place called The PlayPen. Have you heard of it?”

Luca shook his head.

“He said it’s a place for Littles to play together.”

Luca blinked. “I don’t know what that means.”

Damn. Jarek hadn’t expected Luca to not understand there was a term for people like him. Jarek pointed at himself. “Daddy.” He pointed at Luca. “Little.”

“Oh.” He seemed to turn inward for a second. “I guess I kind of knew that, but I definitely didn’t know there was a place for people like me to hang out.”

Jarek nodded. “He wants us to come sometime so we can check it out. What do you think?”

Luca held his stare for a moment, but Jarek had a feeling he only saw whatever was inside his head. Finally, he blinked, as if coming back to himself. “I guess we could go. Boone seems nice. You could spend time with him outside of work.”

“Boone isn’t nice.” Jarek held Luca’s stare. It was important for Luca to understand this part. “He’s not my friend. He’s my client. Boone is a very dangerous man. I’m not above spending time with him, but it’s important for you to know and understand that about him.”

Luca nodded. “Okay.” His answer didn’t sound as if he was convinced. Jarek could only hope Luca listened, even if he didn’t believe.

He moved on. “I was thinking, if you want, tomorrow, we could go to the beach. Then afterward, we could get cleaned up and check out the place.”

Jarek didn’t know if Luca heard anything he said after “beach.” Luca squealed and bounced in place. “That sounds amazing.”

The smile pulling at the corners of Jarek’s mouth couldn’t be stopped. He was happier than he had been in years.
